This is an in-person evening event at the Tynwald Legislative Buildings designed to make politics accessible and relevant. The session includes a guided behind-the-scenes tour of the Tynwald building to explain how decisions are made on the Isle of Man and the role of elected representatives.
The event is suitable for political enthusiasts, first-time voters, and anyone curious about local democracy. The core of the evening is a creative workshop led by Julia from Cullen Creative called "The Island We Deserve.
" Participants will discuss what matters most to women today, the opportunities and challenges facing women on the Isle of Man, and imagine priorities for future generations. The group will produce a collaborative piece of artwork and a summary of key themes to be shared with the Island's newly elected MHKs.
Practical details: the event runs for 2. 5 hours and is held in person at Tynwald, IOM Parliament, Legislative Buildings, Douglas (IM1 2SE). The listing notes there are no refunds.
