Assessment is through a portfolio of evidence/workbook.

The qualification includes 25 days of practical training at approved centres in Moreton or Bedfordshire where learners work alongside experienced grooming professionals and practise skills in a salon environment. Practical days cover equipment use, bathing and drying, styling and finishing techniques, and performing health checks.

The balanced delivery reflects current industry requirements and includes canine first aid training.
