This full-time, one-year Level 2 Diploma in Photography (UAL) at Lincoln College provides a practical introduction to image making and photographic processes. The course combines traditional and digital photographic techniques, darkroom and studio practice, and digital editing.
Students work on project-based assignments from initial image capture through to final exhibition. Teaching is delivered at Lincoln College of Art and Design (Christ's Hospital Terrace) with access to specialist facilities including a darkroom, print room, photography and media studios, five MAC suites, and studio lighting and equipment.
Assessment is portfolio-based with no exams; coursework is internally assessed and the Final Major Project is graded Pass, Merit or Distinction. The course is intended to develop a portfolio to support progression to Level 3 study (typically Photography, Creative Media or Art).
Applicants must meet entry requirements, attend an interview and present a portfolio and supporting reference and statement.
