Farm Friends Nursery in Condover (near Shrewsbury) is recruiting a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprentice. The role is based in an Ofsted outstanding, family-run day nursery on a working farm and involves providing care and education for children from birth to 4 years under supervision.

You will work on the job to develop practical skills in early years care, such as nappy changing, supporting play and learning, promoting health and wellbeing, and ensuring safety and hygiene.

The apprenticeship includes specialist training delivered by Juniper Training Limited toward the Early Years Practitioner (Level 2) standard, with time away from the workplace for study, support with Maths and English if required, work-based learning and an end-point assessment. The employer may consider Level 3 for candidates with existing experience, and successful completion offers progression onto Level 3 Early Years Educator.

Applicants must hold GCSEs in English and Maths (grade A*-C / 9-4) or equivalent Level 2 Functional Skills, be able to travel to Condover (no public transport available) and will require a full Enhanced DBS. The role is full-time (40 hours a week) with shifts between 7:30am and 6:00pm, Monday to Friday.
