This is a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship at Honeybuns Nursery, working in a caring, high-quality nursery environment supporting the emotional, social and educational development of young children. The role involves hands-on care (including washing, changing and feeding), planning and organising fun and educational activities, attending training and staff meetings, and working under supervision as part of the nursery team.

You will be enrolled on a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner training course delivered by Juniper Training Limited, including work-based learning, support with Functional Skills English and maths if required, and an End Point Assessment. Training covers safeguarding, health and hygiene, supporting children’s communication and early literacy and numeracy, planning and observing children’s development, and working with parents and other professionals.

Practical details: this is a 40 hours-per-week apprenticeship with shifts to be agreed on a rota (stated between 7. 30pm and 6. 00pm on the advert).

The apprenticeship starts on Monday 24 November 2025 and lasts one year. Applicants must have the specified GCSE/Functional Skills qualifications, a clear DBS, and be willing to progress to Level 3 after completion.

There is potential for continuation onto a Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship.

Pay & Benefits

£15,704 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age. National Minimum Wage rate for apprentices.
