Level 2 Early Years Practitioner in a Nursery - Apprentice Nursery Assistant

Begin your childcare career with a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship at Kids Capers Day Nursery, working with children aged 0-5. This is a paid, on-the-job role based at The Pavilion, Loppets Road, Crawley (RH10 5DP), where you will be part of a friendly nursery team and learn while you work.

The apprenticeship starts on 1 December 2025 and runs for 1 year, with a 40-hour week on a flexible shift rota between 08:00 and 18:00 Monday-Friday.

You will be employed by Kids Capers and trained by Parenta Training Limited, studying the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner standard, a Level 2 Technical Certificate and Functional Skills where applicable. Duties include organising activities, personal care (nappy changing, feeding), supporting children’s learning and development, maintaining a safe environment, and working with parents and colleagues.

Salary for the first year is advertised at £15,704 (may increase depending on age) and the role requires adherence to safeguarding and hygiene procedures.
