Fancy earning while you learn? Join OAS’s 18-month Level 2 Engineering Operative Apprenticeship to build hands-on machining, fault-finding and quality control skills, get one-to-one mentor support and kickstart a practical career in engineering.

This Level 2 Engineering Operative Apprenticeship with OAS is an 18-month, on-the-job programme designed to develop practical engineering and manufacturing skills while earning a wage. Apprentices learn hands-on operation and maintenance of machinery, problem-solving and troubleshooting, diagnostic and fault-finding, quality control, and technical communication.

Training is delivered in the workplace with one-to-one support from an industry mentor who will visit during the apprenticeship.

The programme equips learners with transferable skills relevant across the engineering and manufacturing sectors and prepares apprentices to progress to a Level 3 apprenticeship on successful completion. Apprentices gain real working experience within a business environment and industry-recognised qualifications.

Entry requirements specify GCSE English and Maths at grade 2 or Functional Skills Level 1. Applicants are invited to apply via the OAS application form on their website. Further programme details and a downloadable brochure are available from the OAS site.
