This is a Level 2 Health and Social Care apprenticeship with Lotus Home Care based in York. The role is largely field-based, delivering person-centred care to clients in their own homes. Day-to-day duties include administering or assisting with medication (when trained), liaising with families and healthcare professionals, recording and monitoring health and wellbeing, supporting people with complex needs (for example dementia or learning disabilities), upholding safeguarding responsibilities, and travelling between client visits (mileage reimbursed).

You will combine on-the-job learning with off-the-job training delivered by RNN Group to gain the Adult Care Worker Level 2 qualification. The apprenticeship includes scheduled training, workshops and continued study (remotely and at RNN campuses or onsite).

The role is 37 hours 30 minutes per week on a rota (7 days a week, rota to be discussed with manager). Start date is 2 January 2026 and the apprenticeship duration is 1 year 6 months.

Applicants should note the employer cannot consider candidates under 18 for insurance reasons. Desirable qualifications include GCSEs in Maths and English (A*-C / 9-4). Successful candidates will need a full DBS check.

A driving licence is advantageous. The employer emphasises punctuality and the ability to travel to client locations.

Pay & Benefits

£14,722.50 to £23,809.50, depending on your age. National Minimum Wage. Paid travel in between visits.
