This Level 2 Intermediate Pharmacy Apprentice role at K V Hartshorne Chemist Ltd offers on-the-job training and hands-on experience in a community pharmacy setting. Apprentices will be involved in taking in and handing out prescriptions, dispensing medicines, using dispensary and stores computer systems, maintaining stock levels, ordering supplies, receiving goods, and providing routine customer advice within their competence.

The role emphasises patient safety, confidentiality, and following Standard Operating Procedures.

Apprentices will be enrolled on the Pharmacy Services Assistant (Level 2) training course delivered by Walsall College with weekly release (1 day per week, term time only). Typical full-time apprentices spend around 15 months on-programme; the advertised duration is 1 year 6 months, and there is an end-point assessment to confirm occupational competence.

Working hours are 37 hours 30 minutes per week and specific days/shifts will be confirmed at interview.
