This Level 4 Sports Coach Apprenticeship places you in school and community settings to deliver PE lessons, extra-curricular clubs, lunch activities and holiday camps. You will design and deliver inclusive coaching programmes, support pupils' physical, social and emotional development, and contribute to raising standards in line with the national curriculum.

The role requires working directly with pupils, supervising activities, supporting teachers and safeguarding children.

You will study the Sports Coach (Level 4) apprenticeship standard through Aspire Training Solutions, receiving weekly off-the-job training (20% of working time) including masterclasses, skills days, CPD and functional skills where required. Start date is Saturday 3 January 2026 and the apprenticeship lasts 1 year 8 months.

Working hours are Monday to Friday (35 hours per week). The first-year wage is advertised as £13,741, with progression to national minimum wage rates after 12 months as applicable.

Desirable qualifications include GCSEs in Maths and English (grade 4 or above). Applicants must be willing to travel between school locations. The role is subject to an enhanced DBS check and references. To apply you must sign in with your GOV.UK One Login before the closing date.
