Light Vehicle Service and Maintenance Apprentice Technician (36340)

This is a Light Vehicle Service and Maintenance Apprentice Technician role with Walkers Garage in Sale (M33 2HA). The apprenticeship starts on Monday 23 February 2026, runs for three years and offers a first-year wage of £15,704 (apprentice rate; may increase depending on age).

The position is based at 41 Skaife Road, Sale and involves working Monday to Friday (40 hours per week). Most of the apprenticeship is on-the-job training in a busy workshop. Daily tasks include keeping the workshop tidy, learning to use tools and diagnostic equipment, performing vehicle servicing and removal/replacement of engine, chassis, electrical and transmission components, and progressing to fault diagnosis and repairs.

Training time is provided away from work by the training provider, The Growth Company Limited, and successful completion awards the Autocare technician (Level 2) qualification. Desirable entry qualifications include GCSEs in English and Maths (A*-C / 9-4).
