Join practical conservation work parties across nature reserves in Alford and Louth, helping care for local wildlife sites. Sessions run on Sundays through autumn and winter, with tools provided and venues rotating between reserves.
Volunteer work parties are held on a regular basis across several nature reserves in the Alford and Louth areas. They take place on Sundays about once a fortnight during the autumn and winter season, offering people the chance to support local wildlife sites through practical conservation volunteering.
Sessions meet at 9.30am, usually on the roadside near the reserve gate, and finish at 12.30pm. Volunteers are asked to wear work clothes and bring a drink and gloves if they have them. Tools are provided, and gloves will also be available on site.
Those interested in taking part should contact Dave Miller for the current year’s dates and venues. The work parties rotate between different reserves, so this is a flexible opportunity for people who want to help with conservation work in the local area.
