Join weekly outdoor work parties at two nature reserves, tackling seasonal habitat management in winter and infrastructure maintenance in spring and summer. No experience is needed; training and equipment are provided, and you’ll work hands-on with stout footwear, waterproofs and a packed lunch.
Weekly volunteer work parties take place at Messingham Sand Quarry or Scotton Common nature reserves. The sessions are usually held every Monday and are designed as practical group tasks supporting the management of these sites.
The work changes with the season. In winter, volunteers help with habitat management, while in spring and summer the focus is more on maintaining infrastructure. The opportunity is suitable for people who want hands-on conservation volunteering outdoors.
No previous experience is needed, as training and equipment are provided. Volunteers should bring stout footwear, outdoor or waterproof clothing, and a packed lunch. Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust also offers other reserve-based roles that may be more suitable for people who prefer to volunteer in their own time.
Sessions run weekly
Free to join.
