Welcome visitors at Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve, share what’s living in its habitats and help run family activities and events. You could also check hides and report disturbance, with role-specific training and a chance to build your bird-watching skills.
This volunteering role is for friendly, outgoing people who enjoy meeting visitors and sharing an interest in nature and wildlife. Based at Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve, it supports the visitor centre and wider reserve by helping people get the most from their visit and encouraging responsible enjoyment of the site.
Volunteers welcome visitors, provide information, help run events and family activities, and spend time on the reserve talking to people about the wildlife and habitats they can see. The role can also involve checking hides, keeping an eye on wildlife, reporting any damage or disturbance, and helping with beach cover during the summer months.
The Trust is looking for people with an interest in the natural world and good communication skills. In return, volunteers receive role-specific training, free parking at the centre, and the chance to build wildlife knowledge and bird watching skills while meeting new people and contributing to the local community.
