Welcome visitors at Whisby Nature Park’s Barn, answer questions and share what you know about the reserve and its wildlife. You could also note important species sightings out on site, with in-house and role-specific training provided.

Join Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust as a Wilder Welcome Volunteer at Whisby Nature Park’s Barn, where you will help welcome visitors, answer questions, and share knowledge about the reserve and its wildlife. The role is ideal for people who enjoy talking with the public, have a genuine enthusiasm for nature, and want to help others make the most of their visit to Whisby.

Volunteers may point out wildlife, share information about the site, encourage considerate behaviour around the reserve, and help with reporting any issues to staff. You may also spend time out on site noting important species sightings and talking with visitors.

The Trust provides in-house and role-specific training, and you may be invited to a try-out day before joining the team. Commitment is around 3 to 6 hours per week, or as often as you are available, and the role is ongoing.
