Got a younger writer aged 13-15? Send them to Lite Regal’s two-week summer course at London or Cambridge universities - explore fiction, poetry and screenwriting, build a 1,600+-word portfolio, and boost creative skills and uni-ready confidence.

Lite Regal Education's Creative Writing Summer Course is a two-week, immersive programme for students aged 13-15. Held at university campuses in London and Cambridge, the course focuses on creative writing techniques, critical thinking and communication skills and is workshop-driven with small-group tuition.

Students explore genres including short fiction, poetry, drama, screenwriting and journalism, and will create a portfolio of their work (minimum 1,600 words) and a 15-20 page short story or series of stories.

The programme includes guest lectures, field visits (for example the Poetry Library, Poetry Café and the Royal Society of Literature), a packed social programme and cultural excursions. Residential and non-residential options are offered; tuition, most meals and many activities are included in the programme fee.

On completion students receive a certificate and academic report, attend a graduation ceremony and gain practical experience useful for future university applications.
