Practise suturing, CPR and using a stethoscope in hands-on clinical skills sessions. Explore anatomy, neuroscience and how diseases are diagnosed and treated at a university campus in Cambridge or London, with an academic report and certificate on completion.
Lite Regal Education’s Young Doctors Summer Course is a medicine-focused summer school for students aged 13 to 15. It is designed as an introduction to the world of medicine for young people who are considering future study or careers in healthcare, and it brings together students from different countries in a university setting.
The course is highly practical and hands-on. Students take part in workshops, clinical skills sessions, role-play activities and supervised practical work covering topics such as anatomy, biology, neuroscience, immunity, cardiology, public health, first aid and communication with patients.
They also learn skills such as suturing, CPR, using a stethoscope and examining how diseases are diagnosed and treated.
The programme is based at university campuses in Cambridge or London, with social activities and excursions built around the academic timetable. Residential students stay on campus and all students receive meals, teaching materials, academic reports and a certificate on completion.
The course aims to build confidence, motivation and scientific understanding while helping students decide whether medicine is the right path for them.
