Curious about how markets and policy shape the world? Join UCL’s two-week London Economics Summer School to explore micro and macro theory, tackle data-driven case studies and debate in small groups. Build analytical skills, university-ready experience and links to academics.

The London Economics Summer School at University College London (UCL) is a two-week, in-person academic programme designed for students aged 15-3. The course introduces core concepts in microeconomics and macroeconomics through seminars, tutorials and applied workshops, combining theoretical learning with data-driven exercises, case studies and small-group discussion.

Average class size is seven students and the programme comprises 30 total academic hours.

Participants explore supply and demand, market structures, behavioural and experimental economics, globalisation and international trade, and fiscal and monetary policy. Each student completes a Personal Project applying economic theories to a real-world issue, with guidance and feedback from experienced tutors and university mentors.

Beyond academic sessions, the programme includes social and cultural activities, evening events and visits to London landmarks and financial districts.

Accommodation is provided for boarding participants in modern university residences near campus with full board and 24-hour supervision. A London Heathrow shared transfer service is available with specified arrival and departure times.

Booking requires paying a deposit, completing an enrolment form and awaiting confirmation before arranging travel.
