The London Literary Salon The Odyssey Live!

The Odyssey Live! is a live literary event from The London Literary Salon that brings Homer’s epic poem to the stage through readings and discussion. Salon founder Toby Brothers is joined by Alexis Cambanis, Susanna Taggart and Jane Wymark to present key passages from the story and explore the characters, themes and enduring appeal of one of the world’s oldest literary works.

The event follows Odysseus’ long journey home to Ithaca, including encounters with the Cyclops, the Sirens and Circe, as well as his reunion with Penelope and Telemachus. It is designed for audiences who want to experience the poem in an accessible live format, whether they are already familiar with Homer or are curious to learn more after seeing modern retellings of the story.

Each performance includes live readings followed by an audience Q&A, giving attendees the chance to reflect on why this ancient story still resonates today. The event is an in-person literary evening in London.
