Inspiring Minds is Loughborough University's series of free academic taster days for post-16 students to discover what it is like studying at university. Students take part in a range of academic sessions based around their chosen subject area, experience new subjects, attend lectures and workshops led by academic staff, tour facilities, and meet current students.
Sessions also include practical information on UCAS applications, personal statements, and student finance, and attendees receive prospectus materials to take away. Both individual students and school/college groups are welcome to attend.
Events are free of charge. Bookings for the 2026 dates listed are open and there is a separate registration/interest form for the Art & Design session. Teachers wishing to bring groups should contact the organising team via email.
