Choose a one-off role, regular shift or taster session, fitting volunteering around your interests and availability. Roles include charity shops, the donation centre, fundraising events and collections, corporate volunteer days, and opportunities within the hospice itself.
St Luke’s Hospice’s Be Part of Something Big campaign invites people across Sheffield to take part in Volunteer Month and discover how volunteering can fit around their own lifestyle, interests and availability. The campaign is designed to offer a welcoming introduction for anyone who is new to volunteering, as well as for people who want to return to volunteering in a flexible way.
Volunteers can get involved in a range of roles, including charity shops, the donation centre, fundraising events and collections, corporate volunteer days, and opportunities within the hospice itself. The campaign offers one-off roles, regular shifts and volunteer taster sessions throughout the year, making it easier to try something new without long-term commitment.
It is also a chance to build confidence, learn practical skills, gain experience and support a local charity that provides vital palliative and end of life care in Sheffield.
