Want hands-on theatre tech experience? Apply for two paid, three-month internships at Adelphi or Theatre Royal Haymarket — work full-time alongside in-house electrics and carpentry teams, build real skills and boost your industry CV.

Deadline in 2 days

Masterclass is offering two paid, three-month internships for aspiring theatre technicians. One placement is based at the Adelphi Theatre and the other at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, giving participants the chance to gain practical backstage experience in a professional theatre environment.

The internships are full-time and hands-on, with successful applicants working alongside experienced in-house electrical and carpentry teams. The programme focuses on theatre electrics and/or carpentry, and interns will develop core skills in lighting, rigging and carpentry while being supported by Masterclass throughout the placement.

These opportunities are aimed at people at the start of their careers who want a first step into theatre. Applicants need basic carpentry or electrics skills, a strong interest in theatre and live events, and should not already have professional backstage experience on a large-scale commercial production.

The roles are paid at least National Minimum Wage.
