The AEMS (Alternative Economic & Monetary Systems) Summer University in Vienna brings together students and professionals to explore alternative approaches to the growth-driven economy. The three-week in-person programme combines lectures, panel discussions, workshops, educational games and simulations to provide an interdisciplinary, practice-oriented learning experience.
Participants earn 5 ECTS credits. The programme is delivered in English and is open to motivated students and professionals from all fields; no prior economics background is required. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have A-level / pre-university level.
Participants typically live in student accommodation in central Vienna and benefit from an immersive international environment and networking opportunities. Tuition is 1,390 EUR (one scholarship available for MCI students, reducing their fee to 590 EUR).
