Fast-track your mechanical engineering career with a 2-year Accelerated Degree Apprenticeship at Babcock International based in Warrington. This programme combines on-the-job learning with formal study, leading to a BEng (Hons) accredited by a licensed Professional Engineering Institution and a Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship qualification.
The role includes rotations across departments and practical involvement from concept to manufacturing readiness.
You will undertake the Product Design and Development Engineer (Degree) apprenticeship delivered through blended learning with in-person blocks and weekly online sessions. Day-to-day work includes producing engineering drawings and technical reports, performing calculations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA), developing specifications and manuals, and supporting manufacture and installation of equipment as part of nuclear clean-up and engineering projects.
The apprenticeship offers a competitive salary (£40,454 pa), fully funded training, personal development, 28 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension and share schemes, and flexible benefits. Note: many programmes are subject to security and trade control restrictions; successful applicants must be able to achieve BPSS and Security Check clearance.
