Join Cavendish Nuclear on a paid five-year Degree Apprenticeship combining on-the-job engineering experience with university study. Over the programme you will work on civil nuclear projects (new build and decommissioning), gaining hands-on experience with CAD, 3D modelling, mechanical calculations, engineering documentation and practical testing while contributing to real-world engineering outcomes.
You will study with the University of Nottingham through the Electro-mechanical Engineer Degree Apprenticeship, attending four separate one-week blocks on campus each year plus additional exam periods, while completing recorded lectures, assignments and workplace projects. The role is based at Bridgehead Business Park, Meadow Road, Hessle (HU13 0GD) and is full time (Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm; 35 hours/week).
The apprenticeship starts on 1 September 2026, runs for five years and leads to a BEng (Hons) in Electro-mechanical Engineering. Security clearance (BPSS and SC) is required; successful candidates benefit from a fully funded qualification, development opportunities, minimum 28 days holiday, pension and other company benefits.
