Mechanical Engineering Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship

This Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship with MBDA combines on-the-job experience with university study to train Mechanical Engineers for defence-focused product development. Over four years you will work across product lifecycle activities including design, manufacture, testing and in-service support, gaining practical experience across placements and supported by industrial mentors.

You will study one day a week toward a BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Hertfordshire (blend of virtual and face-to-face delivery). Training includes applied engineering skills such as CAD, simulation, failure mode analysis, project management and safety compliance.

Placements across different streams (Customer Support Services, Environmental Engineering & Facilities, Mechanical Engineering) allow specialisation in later years.

The role is full-time (37 hours per week, Monday-Friday) based at Six Hills Way, Stevenage SG1 2DA. MBDA offers a starting salary (£18,750/year), a joining bonus and company benefits including flexible working, pension and development opportunities.

Candidates must meet the listed GCSE/A-level/BTEC requirements and pass security checks.
