Dukes Plus Media Summer School

Dukes Plus Media Summer School is an immersive career experience for ages 15-18 who are interested in media, marketing, journalism, PR, and digital content creation. Delivered by InvestIN and hosted at UCL in London, it gives students a practical introduction to what it is like to work in modern media.

Participants can step inside a working broadcast studio, present a mock news segment, create podcasts, design social-media campaigns for real clients, analyse engagement trends, and handle simulated PR challenges. The programme also includes the chance to meet journalists, publicists, and media strategists, along with career coaching and guidance on university choices and routes into the industry.

The summer school offers more than 20 hours of immersive media work each week, with 1-week and 2-week options available. Students can work towards a recognised Level 3 Qualification in work experience, worth 8 UCAS points, and receive a formal certificate of achievement.
