Volunteering With India's Medical Volunteer Program in Jaipur offers international volunteers hands-on exposure to community healthcare settings. Placements place volunteers in rural clinics, community health centres and urban medical camps where they support patient flow, record vitals, assist in medical camps and public health awareness activities.
The program is suitable for medical and nursing students, pre-med applicants, public health students, qualified doctors/nurses and gap-year travellers — beginners are supported and tasks are matched to experience. The program includes accommodation with carefully selected Indian host families (with private room upgrade options), three meals daily, airport pickup, daily transport to placements, orientation, program materials and 24/7 local support.
Volunteers typically work Monday to Friday and can combine weekday placements with weekend cultural excursions in and around Jaipur and Rajasthan. Placements emphasise cultural immersion, practical learning and ethical community support.
Start dates are flexible throughout the year and volunteers choose preferred arrival and finish dates. The application process is via the online registration form; participants are responsible for international flights, visas, travel insurance and personal expenses.
