This two-week residential Medicine Summer School is held on-campus at King's College London and is designed for 13-17 year olds interested in healthcare, medicine, and biomedical sciences. The programme combines clinical theory, case studies and practical simulations to give a holistic introduction to medicine, including clinical communication skills and system-based learning (cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, urinary and nervous systems).
Students take part in industry workshops such as an E-Simulation Suite day with SimMan and a Surgical Skills Workshop practising suturing and dexterity tasks. The course culminates in an industry-led capstone project run with Meducators UK, where teams design a pharmaceutical product, run simulated trials and present NHS-style commissioning pitches; prizes are awarded to top teams.
The residential experience includes supervised single ensuite rooms, campus facilities, full and half-day excursions across London (e. g. , St Paul’s, Thames River Cruise, London Eye) and complimentary airport transfers on designated transfer days.
