Medicine for Teens at Cambridge University is a two-week, in-person summer programme for 13-15 year olds delivered on the University of Cambridge campus and its colleges. The course combines small-group teaching (classes capped at around 8), hands-on sessions in anatomy, physiology and infectious pathology, medical ethics discussions, and teamwork/masterclass activities.
Each student receives written tutor feedback, a certificate of achievement and a personalised letter of recommendation.
Students live and study in Cambridge colleges (Fitzwilliam, Murray Edwards, Gonville and Caius) when registered as residential; day (non-residential) options are also available. Residential tiers differ by accommodation level (shared bathroom, private ensuite, premium concierge rooms) and the programme includes full-board meals for residents and lunch/dinner for day students.
Excursions to London, the British Museum, Canterbury, Greenwich, Warwick Castle, the Tower of London and Portsmouth are included in the itinerary.
Practical support includes scheduled airport transfers from London Heathrow on official arrival/departure days (staffed 09:00-16:00) and on-course pastoral teams. The programme emphasises academic enrichment, independence-building, and university-style learning to support students considering future study or careers in medicine.
