Spend 12 weeks building skills through a residential experience, teamwork, community projects and work experience. Get practical help with CVs and interviews, plus First Aid Awareness training, while working towards a nationally recognised qualification.

Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service runs the 12-week King's Trust Team Programme for young people who want to build confidence, develop new skills and take positive steps towards employment, education or training. It is designed for people who have left school and are not currently in work, learning or training, and it offers a supportive setting led by experienced youth development professionals.

Across the programme, participants take part in a residential experience, work as part of a team, complete community projects and gain work experience. They also receive practical support with employability, including CV writing and interview preparation, as well as First Aid Awareness training.

The programme is designed to help young people strengthen communication, leadership and problem-solving skills while making a positive contribution to their local community.

Learners also work towards a nationally recognised qualification and are supported to move on into employment, education, training or volunteering. The programme is free to join and aims to help participants feel more confident, independent and ready for their next step.
