St. Michael’s Printshop - Volunteer

St. Michael’s Printshop offers a variety of volunteer roles to support events and the running of the printshop. Typical tasks include studio monitoring, live printing, market tabling, cleaning, moving and setting up equipment, directing event visitors, and handling cash boxes/payments.

Volunteers with specific skills in photography or video are especially welcomed.

Volunteers can access studio time through a reciprocal arrangement: by contributing ten volunteer hours per month, participants are granted a level of studio access that allows them to make art independently or attend workshops for free. There are also opportunities to join committees (Programming, Studio, Fundraising, Human Resources, Anti-Oppression) which require attending meetings and helping plan and run activities.

Longer-term governance roles are available through the Board of Directors, which is a valued volunteer position that typically requires a two-year commitment.
