Prize: Certificate of completion

Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust offers a range of work experience opportunities across both clinical and corporate settings. Participants can gain insight into careers in community or inpatient healthcare, as well as roles in Human Resources, Finance, and Facilities and Estates.

The Trust also offers a virtual work experience option in many clinical areas for students who want a flexible way to explore NHS careers.

Placements are arranged in a variety of formats, including one-week block placements, variable days over a set period of weeks, and specialist programmes. Virtual work experience involves 10 hours of activity that can be completed at a time to suit the participant.

The programme is designed to help young people and adults understand the wide range of clinical and non-clinical roles within the NHS and to support future career choices.

Work experience is normally offered on weekdays, with a full working day usually running from 9:00 to 16:30. The Trust asks applicants to provide Occupational Health information so a suitable placement can be arranged, and it does not fund food or travel costs.

After completing an evaluation form, students receive a certificate by email.
