Learn autonomous robotics through a simulated RACECAR environment in this free online course. It introduces the remote course setup and learning environment, with no Python Core or CSS prerequisite required.
RACECAR Neo Outreach is a free online course from MIT Beaver Works Summer Institute, focused on the Autonomous RACECAR programme. It introduces students to the course setup and learning environment for working through the material remotely, with a simulated environment used for instruction.
The course is designed for students who want to build technical skills in a practical robotics and autonomous systems context. Participants need a compatible computer to take part, and course communications are handled through Discord only.
It does not require completion of the Python Core 2026 or CSS 2026 prerequisite courses before starting, making it accessible as a standalone entry point into the BWSI technical pathway.
