Want to build leadership and communication experience at Cornell this summer? Join Best Parents’ three-week on-campus programme to mentor middle-schoolers in mock trials and debate - develop coaching, public-speaking and uni-ready skills while connecting with peers and academics.

This is a three-week on-campus summer program at Cornell University designed for middle school students (ages 11-14) to develop trial advocacy, debate, and public speaking skills. Through mock trials, debate sessions, and workshops, participants learn courtroom roles and trial techniques such as opening statements, jury selection, witness examination, objections, and closing arguments.

The course emphasises critical thinking, persuasive communication, and practical courtroom preparation.

The program is offered as residential (boarding) and day (commuter) options and includes supervised campus life, daily activities, and excursions. Residential tuition covers housing, three meals per day, supervision, and use of campus facilities.

International students receive visa support guidance, insurance while abroad, arrival/departure assistance, and may be charged an international registration fee in addition to tuition.

Admission requires completion of the Summer Institute application. After acceptance, families receive enrolment instructions including deposit payment, enrolment form completion, and details on accommodation, transportation, and pre-arrival requirements.

Students receive detailed performance reports and instructor feedback at the end of the program; credit-bearing classes include guidance for requesting a university transcript.

Qualification Outcome

Detailed student performance reports; possible college credit for credit-bearing classes (acceptance of credit depends on receiving university policies)
