The Faculty of Medieval and Modern Languages at the University of Oxford invites prospective students to its annual Modern Languages Open Day on Saturday 16 May 2026. The event takes place in the Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities and runs from 10:30-16:30 (local time).
Attendees will receive general information about studying modern languages at Oxford and the various degree combinations available. The Faculty offers French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Italian, Russian, Czech with Slovak, Modern Greek, and Polish, and many of these languages will be represented at the event.
After a morning information and Q&A session, students and their companions can join subject-specific afternoon sessions to meet tutors and current students and learn about combining languages with other humanities subjects such as History, English, Philosophy, Linguistics and Classics. To attend, complete the online registration form by 12 noon on Wednesday 13 May 2026.
