A tailor-made development package worth up to £2,000 can combine tuition through open courses, retreat time and mentoring, with support shaped around your unpublished fiction project, whether it’s a short story collection or novel.
The Emerging Writer Award is a development award for unpublished fiction writers based in the UK. Run by Moniack Mhor in partnership with The Bridge Awards, it is designed to support writers who are developing a short story collection or a novel and want focused help to move their work forward.
The winner receives a tailor-made package worth up to £2,000. This can include tuition through open courses, retreat time and/or mentoring at Moniack Mhor, giving the recipient practical support tailored to their project and stage of development.
The award is aimed at emerging writers whose work is still in progress, and it is open to writers of fiction for any age group, including children's and young adult fiction.
