Apply NowFancy a week living like a BA Musical Theatre student? Join The Fire Station’s summer school to build singing, acting and audition skills with ArtsEd and Arts North tutors, rehearse a monologue and song, and get mock audition feedback from industry pros.
Experience a week in the life of a BA Musical Theatre student with tutors from Arts North and ArtsEd. The course includes ensemble singing, acting, musical theatre classes and a mock audition day covering audition etiquette and interview tips from industry professionals.
Students work on a prepared monologue and song and receive practical coaching across performance disciplines. Sessions run Monday to Friday, 10:00-16:00. Participants should bring ballet shoes, jazz shoes and clothes suitable for movement.
Students should prepare one monologue (maximum 1. 5 minutes) and one musical theatre song (perform a section up to one minute) and bring sheet music; all pieces should be learnt by heart before the course begins.
Location is Arts North Studios at The Fire Station, Sunderland. Spaces are limited and highly sought after; tickets cost £60 and can be paid in full online or booked via the Ticket Office, which also arranges payment plans (50% upfront).
