Actors Melissanthi Mahut and Michael Antonakos unpack how they brought Kassandra and Alexios to life, linking performance with classical antiquity, archaeology and rebuilding the past. The second day is a student-only workshop and game jam at Bristol.

Closes in 8 days

This symposium brings together academic ideas and game development through Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, welcoming actors Melissanthi Mahut and Michael Antonakos to Bristol. It explores how the performances behind Kassandra and Alexios connect with classical antiquity, archaeology, and the reconstruction of the past through “embodied archaeology”.

The event is split across two days. The first day features public-facing events centred on the actors’ work on their characters, while the second day is a student-only full day workshop and game jam. It takes place at the University of Bristol, with tickets available via the organiser’s booking page.
