The NCAD Continuing Education in Art and Design (CEAD) Summer Programme 2026 offers short in-person courses and a three-week Portfolio Preparation programme at the National College of Art & Design in Dublin. Courses cover art, design and photography topics at introductory, intermediate and advanced levels and are aimed at adults and school leavers interested in developing practical skills, building a portfolio or preparing for further study.
Courses run in June and July 2026 with sessions such as 3- and 5-day workshops and a 13-day Portfolio Preparation (over three weeks). Typical class hours are 10:00 to 16:00 each day. Some courses (explicitly noted) require participants to be age 18 or older; otherwise students must be at least 16 to attend NCAD courses.
Portfolio Preparation is suitable for school leavers preparing applications to third-level art and design courses.
Bookings open in March 2026 and are online only through the MyNCAD booking system; new students should create a MyNCAD account. Applications are accepted on a first-come basis and places are confirmed on receipt of full payment.
