The National Youth Dance Company (NYDC) Nationwide Schools Workshop Programme offers in-school dance workshops for young people, building insight into NYDC processes and company practice. The 2025-26 workshops are based on Gravity by Boy Blue and are led by NYDC alumni, sharing repertoire, company practices and professional artistic experience.
The programme is specifically designed for participants aged 14-18 and complements GCSE, BTEC and A-level dance learning, as well as school dance clubs. NYDC will deliver 60 workshops across the academic year from October 2025 to July 2026.
Schools can book either a 2-hour or 3-hour session; workshops are free with no hidden costs. Priority is given to schools in areas with lower recruitment numbers or other priority areas. NYDC welcomes disabled and non-disabled dancers and asks schools to provide access information on the booking form.
To arrange a workshop, schools should complete the online booking form on the NYDC website and the NYDC team will be in touch to agree a suitable date.
