Work with an Associate across five sessions, taking a monologue from choosing your text through character development to a mock audition. Practise delivery, interpretation and redirection in a supportive small group.
Monologue Bootcamp from National Youth Theatre is a small-group acting programme for young people who are preparing for drama school auditions, hoping to audition for National Youth Theatre, or looking to refresh their portfolio. It focuses on monologue performance and helps participants build confidence and technique in a supportive setting.
Over five sessions, participants work with an Associate on a monologue from the very first choice of text through to character development and a mock audition. The sessions are designed to improve monologue delivery, interpretation and redirection, while giving participants the chance to learn from a knowledgeable director and develop their performance skills.
The bootcamp is suitable for ages 16-25 and takes place in person at National Youth Theatre in London. It runs on Wednesday evenings and is aimed at young performers who want practical guidance and focused audition preparation.
