NCAS (National Centre for Atmospheric Science) is hosting the Early Careers Symposium, "Harmony in the Skies", a two-day event of workshops, presentations and discussions taking place at NCAS Headquarters, University of Leeds on 12-13 March 2026. The symposium aims to bridge horizons in Earth system and atmospheric science, covering scientific progress, progress towards net zero, personal and career development, and efficient ways of working.
The event provides a welcoming and inclusive space for networking, skill development, and knowledge exchange for people at varied levels and areas of expertise. It is explicitly aimed at those early in their atmospheric science careers - including students, postdoctoral researchers, recent graduates, and individuals moving into the field from other disciplines.
Attendees are offered opportunities to present their work via short talks, posters, or the showcase; abstracts on any theme linked to their work are encouraged.
