Newcastle University's DNSES Experience Day is a on-campus taster day aimed at Year 12 students interested in Dietetics, Human Nutrition or Sport and Exercise Science. The day is designed to give students a practical introduction to degree study and insight into university life and the admissions process, with material useful for UCAS applications.
The 2026 programme centres on brain health and explores how nutrition and physical activity influence brain function across the lifespan. Students will take part in hands-on learning including practical sessions in kitchens and laboratories, and will hear about clinical and public health applications of nutrition and exercise science.
The event takes place at Newcastle University campus on Monday 13 July 2026, with approximate timings 09:30-16:00. Teachers/advisers can make group bookings and Year 12 pupils may book individually via the online form linked on the event page.
