The Maths and Stats Experience Day is an on-campus outreach event from Newcastle University for Year 12 students who are thinking about studying Maths or Statistics at degree level. It is designed to give students a taste of university life and an insight into the range of careers connected to maths and stats.
During the day, participants can explore the School of Maths, Stats and Physics facilities and take part in a practical hands-on activity using equipment from the school. The event is also intended to support students with their personal statements, making it useful for anyone building an application for higher education.
Schools can apply for groups, and individual students can also take part.
