Explore medicine and health through online evening lectures covering current research, from anaesthetics and dermatology to medical scanning technology, psychology and sport and exercise science. There’s also a session on applying to Medicine and Dentistry.

Newcastle University’s Mini Medical School is an autumn programme of academic taster sessions designed to introduce participants to a range of topics within the medical school. It is delivered online via Zoom and offers a chance to hear about current research and explore different areas of medicine and health-related study.

The series includes evening lectures on medical topics such as anaesthetics, dermatology, emergency medicine, medical scanning technology, psychology, pharmacy, and sport and exercise science. There is also an additional session focused on applying to Medicine and Dentistry, making the programme useful for anyone considering these routes.

It is open to anyone aged 15 and over, and places are confirmed once an application has been accepted. Participants are contacted with the details they need to join the online sessions.
