Want uni with tailored support? Apply to Newcastle’s PARTNERS route to secure a lower contextual offer, access extra mentoring and wraparound help, and build confidence as you prepare for higher education. Submit a separate PARTNERS application after UCAS.

Deadline in 112 days

The PARTNERS Programme Supported Entry Route is Newcastle University’s contextual admissions pathway for applicants who meet one of several widening participation criteria, alongside the programme’s essential requirements. It is designed for students who are preparing to enter higher education for the first time and who may benefit from additional support and a lower contextual offer.

Applicants are assessed through a separate PARTNERS application submitted after the UCAS application. The programme includes referee verification and, if successful, access to the PARTNERS support package and the required Academic Summer School.

This summer school is a compulsory part of the route and must be fully attended in order to keep the offer. Eligibility can be based on a range of circumstances, including postcode, school or college performance, financial support, care experience, disability, caring responsibilities, estrangement, military service, ethnicity, refugee or asylum status, being a parent/carer, or personal extenuating circumstances.

The route is offered annually for a new entry cycle.
