Ready to pitch your film idea like a pro? Join the Next Gen Lion’s Den workshop to build a two‑minute pitch, collaborate with peers, get industry feedback and strengthen your portfolio—fast, hands‑on, and student‑led at UCL.

CLOSED THIS CYCLE

The Next Gen Lion’s Den Pitch Workshop is a fast-paced, hands-on three-hour session for aspiring filmmakers run by Creative Connections in partnership with The New Black Film Collective and hosted by the UCL School for the Creative & Cultural Industries. Participants collaborate in small groups to develop ideas into a structured two-minute pitch, and receive practical feedback from industry guests.

The workshop is student-led and designed to help filmmakers build their portfolio, sharpen their creative voice, and find collaborators. Attendees will leave with a tangible pitch deck, new industry contacts, and potential team members to advance their projects.

The event is described as a welcoming space that particularly encourages underrepresented filmmakers to take up space in the industry. The session is in-person at UCL East - Marshgate (7 Sidings Street, London E20 2AE) and runs for three hours.
