NGMP Virtual Work Experience

NGMP Virtual Work Experience is a free, self-paced online programme for students interested in medicine or dentistry. It lets you explore the work from the inside, with separate medicine and dentistry pathways, so you can get a realistic feel for the job before applying.

The programme is built around 16 modules in each pathway. Four core modules cover interview skills, the NHS, ethics and reflection, then 12 specialty modules follow. Along the way you work through quizzes, flashcards and reflection tasks, and you can use the material to strengthen your personal statement and interview answers.

It is designed for school and college students at different stages of preparation, including Year 11 through Year 13, plus gap year and early university learners. You can start straight away, no account is needed to begin, and you receive a certificate when you finish.
