This public lecture from the Norfolk Cambridge Society explores the geopolitical decline of interdependence and what it means for international relations today. Sir Richard Dearlove KCMG OBE, former head of MI6 and later Master of Pembroke College, Cambridge, speaks on the weakening of the rules-based international order and the implications for global security, diplomacy, and cooperation between states.

The lecture considers major contemporary issues including the relationship between the West and China, the state of international institutions, and the challenge of building an effective regulatory framework for AI. It is presented as a thought-provoking event for adults and sixth formers, with the opportunity to hear from a senior figure with direct experience of intelligence, higher education, and international affairs.

Refreshments are served before the talk, and attendees are invited to mingle with the speaker and other guests.
